Dallas United Crew and White Rock Rowing both placed in US Rowing’s Youth National Championships.

The competition was held June 9-12 in Sarasota, Florida. The White Rock Lake teams were among the 200 that qualified for the national championships. Both clubs also participated in the Texas Rowing Championships, which were held at White Rock Lake in April.

White Rock Rowing’s women’s U16 8+ boat was the first eight-person boat from Dallas to make A Finals at the youth national competition, according to the club. Athletes in that boat, which placed fifth, were: Emmie Pampel, Emerson Donahue, Josie Airitam, Charlotte Bohannon, Violet Libson, Addison Holmes, Kenna Rosenthal, Leah Jones and Cordelia Bowden.

Overall, seven White Rock Rowing boats participated, three of them placing in the top 10. The women’s youth 4- boat of Evelyn Fox, Zoe Cramer, Isabella Cooper and Katherine Adams placed eighth, and the women’s U15 4X+ boat of Elyse Lau, Stirling Moyse, London Ezell, Sidney Bailey and Kaelina Nolen placed 10th.

From Dallas United Crew, the women’s U15 4X+ boat won fifth. The men’s U17 4+ boat finished sixth.
