Valentine’s Day is just over a week away, and there are plenty of places in our neighborhood to celebrate.

Several local restaurants are offering special menu items for neighbors wanting to skip the dishes.

Here are a few places to consider. And don’t forget to read these love stories from East Dallas neighbors.

Anise at The Village is offering a dinner for two, priced at $120, with an optional wine pairing of $30 per person. The three-course meal includes a choice of two mezze plates, one large plate (lamb, branzino or cauliflower and castelfranco), one side (saffron rice or grilled broccolini) and a chocolate tahini tart for dessert. These are available Feb. 11-13, but not on Valentine’s Day because the restaurant is closed on Mondays.

Anise is located at 5630 Village Glen Drive. 

Apothecary and Rye on Lowest Greenville have a seven-course menu on Feb. 14, featuring caviar, wild boar terrine, sott’olio, quail, cheese, wagyu and a dessert.

Apothecary is at 1922 Greenville Ave., and Rye is located at 1920 Greenville Ave.

Garden Café has a dinner menu priced at $80, with an optional wine pairing for an additional $30. Some of the offerings are a roasted cauliflower and apple soup with mustard oil, duck confit, pearl couscous risotto and a financier.

Shell Shack is offering a seafood platter for two people, priced at $92.99, which comes with 1 pound each of snow crab, king crab and boiled shrimp; sausage; potatoes; and corn. All of this is served with fries, hushpuppies and two side sauces. The restaurant will give a free bottle of champagne with every combo platter purchase.
