City Council members will be briefed Monday on a development agreement with the Dallas-based developer. The money would come from the city’s Transit-Oriented Development TIF district.

Mockingbird Station East was announced in 2020 and includes a 22-story apartment building over a three-level underground parking garage. It will comprise 481 units and is one of two planned apartment towers.

It’s being built on surface parking lots behind Kroger, near DART’s SMU/Mockingbird station.

It will be a “mixed-income and transit-oriented development project,” according to an agenda for the city’s Economic Development Committee.
