Robotics teams from two neighborhood schools recently won awards at a competition.
At the IQ Robotics Create U.S. Open, the 1251G Lady Bots from Casa View Elementary received the excellence award, which is the top award. They also won the second-place teamwork challenge award.
And Alex Sanger’s 20616D Robolution D team won the design award.
Casa View, Alex Sanger and Robert T. Hill students are planning to participate in the VEX Robotics World Championship on May 3. These are among one high school, 11 middle schools and seven elementary schools Dallas ISD is sending to the competition.
The district has 345 robotics teams, including 203 at elementary schools, 81 at middle schools and 61 at high schools, and they compete in nine robotics leagues.
