Robotics teams at several neighborhood Dallas ISD schools are advancing in competitions.
The students at Alex Sanger Preparatory will be competing in the VEX Robotics World Championship, which will be held virtually May 24-29. Sanger students, who will be on campus, will use cameras to capture their activities and communicate with other teams. They represent one of 13 DISD schools advancing in this competition.
Fourteen schools with FIRST LEGO League teams, including Lakewood Elementary, advanced to the North Texas Regional Championship. Lakewood will head to San Antonio for the the Texas Cup at the Alamodome, which will be June 15-17.
The RoboCats at Woodrow Wilson High School are also moving on to the Texas Cup, the only in-person UIL robotics championship this year.
