The Event Nerd, owned by Brooklyn-born J. Damany Daniel, will call the studio Dallas Virtual Events, which will be located at The Studios in Deep Ellum, according to a press release.

One of the first events held at the space is the sixth-annual Mavs Ball: House Party Edition. People who attend May 8 will be able to bid on meet and greets, experiences, autographed collectibles, custom art and shoes designed by Mavericks players.

“From the makeup artists to the catering and scenic and set design, we’re taking care of everything so you don’t have to book anything,” Daniel says.

Companies that choose to partner with The Event Nerd just have to schedule a time, share what they need and show up. Daniel hopes to provide “the personal engagement people love about conferences” in the virtual events his company hosts.

“It’s more than just technology,” he says. “We look at what people love about the live experience, and transform it into the new paradigm.”
