Has anyone else nearly popped tires recently driving northbound on Skillman just south of Mockingbird? There’s an enourmous square cut out of the left lane close to Anita — it looks like City workers were going to replace part of the street then for some reason never got around to it. There aren’t any orange flags or reflectors around it, and it’s especially treacherous at night when you don’t see it until you get right up on it. It’s amazing that we don’t see more people changing flats up and down Skillman. It seems like when one pothole on that street is fixed, another one appears.

Speaking of potholes, some of you have been asking about Porky, our darling pothole pig. He’s hoping to make another appearance in the magazine in future months, so if you see any potholes, please e-mail their locations to me at kmitchell@advocatemag.com.
