Officers responded to a call around 7 a.m. Saturday morning to an apartment at The Village after a man was reportedly seen breaking into vehicles with weapons. Officers engaged the man, who had a bat and a long knife, and the man fled to his apartment at 6541 Shady Brook Ln.
SWAT was called to the scene and negotiated with the suspect, but he refused to exit. SWAT then entered the apartment and took the suspect into custody around 1:21 p.m. No one was injured in the pursuit, and the suspect is being charged with Felony Criminal Mischief.
