The infamous porch pirate who pilfered packages from Lakewood neighbors in 2017 was sentenced to probation and will not serve any jail time, CBS radio station 1080 KLRD reported.

Kelli Russell was sentenced to two years deferred adjudication, which is a form of probation with conditions, according to the station. The sentence comes after she turned herself over to authorities in January 2018.

The maximum punishment for felony theft over $3,000 was two years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

The Advocate previously reported that Russell swiped thousands of dollars of goods from Lakewood and Highland Park around Christmas in 2017. Some of the packages included electronics, clothes, pet supplies, vitamins and hair products.

Police were able to identify her after neighbors submitted footage from their home security systems. Authorities found about $2,500 in stolen goods at her apartment and more in a storage locker.
