Dallas City Council recently authorized an engineering design services contract for multiple transportation projects, some of which are in East Dallas.
Kimley-Horn is expected to provide services regarding:
- Traffic signals at Greenville and Henderson Avenues
- Restriping Skillman Street from La Vista Drive to Anita Street
- A pedestrian hybrid beacon at Skillman and Vickery Boulevard by Tietze Park
- Traffic signal upgrades at Abrams Road and La Vista Drive, plus at Abrams and Richmond Avenue
Some of these were recommended in the City’s corridor studies on Abrams Road and Skillman Street.
Other projects in Oak Cliff and North Dallas are included in this agenda item as well.
The contract is limited at $1.5 million and will be paid for through bond funds. The design is expected to be completed in December 2027.
