This is a free and family-friendly event that includes speakers, exhibits, tours and activities for children, all centered on celebrating North Texas blackland prairies and valuing them as a habitat for bugs and animals as well as a vital resource. Guest speakers will talk about pollinators, tarantulas, reclaiming the dark, native perennials, citizen science and the goats that cleared out invasive plants at White Rock Lake.

 Contribute to the “Choose Love” mural on the 3G

  • What? Remember when we reported on a wall at the corner of Gaston and Grand Avenues getting some attention? Now, the muralist Jeremie Fletcher Bourcy is inviting the community to come out and make their mark on the wall by stamping their thumbprint. Monster Yogurt is expected to cater at the event.
  • When? 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3 
  • Where? The northwest corner of the 3G, across from the Trailhead mixed-use development on Grand Avenue
