Halfway through summer the new indoor playground Down to Play (DTP) has arrived. Located on Northwest Highway, the inclusive playground is open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
DTP is owned by East Dallas residents Joel and Kelsey Doolen, who saw the need for inclusive playgrounds after having their daughter Kendall who was born at 26 weeks with Down Syndrome, according to the DTP website.
The playground has different zones and spaces that accommodate certain needs: a Toddler Zone, a Baby Zone and the Playground. Across the zones you can find a sensory room with sensory lighting and music, and a therapy room with stepping stones, trampolines and climbing structures.
With over 3,000 square feet of play space, DTP accommodates babies, elementary school-age children and everything in-between.
Down to play is located at 6464 Northwest Hwy Suite 138, Dallas, TX 75214
