Lakewood Shopping Center’s holiday event is on the books.
The schedule for the 19th annual Light Up Lakewood is full with live music performances by Woodrow Wilson marching band, Woodrow Wilson variations choir and Lipscomb Elementary honor choir. Plus, the musical headliner is A Hard Night’s Day.
There will also be a tree lighting at Harrell Park and pictures with Santa. Kids will be able to get a caricature, face paintings and balloon artists.
Businesses will have booths selling food, beverages and other items.
The event is scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Dec. 3.
In past years, the event coincided with the lighting of the Lakewood Theater, which had been dark for months.
