Expect classic barbecue — brisket, smoked turkey and sausages with sides such as macaroni and cheese, fried okra, green beans and potato salad — but in a full-service format rather than the typical line service.

“We are thrilled to bring the Lakewood community a modern twist on the classic barbecue dining experience,” said owner Jason Hall, known for his 3 Stacks Smoke and Tap House in Frisco. Hall partners with John Pantenburg and Mike Mullen in the Lakewood venture; the trio have been friends and co-workers in the restaurant industry for 20 years. “Our team was drawn to the sense of community that makes Lakewood special and we can’t wait become a part of the fabric of the neighborhood,” Hall says.

The smokehouse will use Rudolph’s Market for sausages and Empire Bakery for breads, and will offer a happy hour with 20 local Texas breweries on tap. The website launches on Sunday.
