Friends of Lakewood (FOL) is raising money for a Lakewood family.
Last week Mark Parks died while on vacation in Florida with his wife, Dorothy, his kids and his friends. He was pulled out in a riptide and he did not survive.
“Lakewood lost one of its great dads,” says FOL vice president Chris Prestridge. “Dorothy and Mark have two children at Lakewood Elementary. The family will need lots of love and support in the coming weeks and months. Please join us in taking a moment to remember this family in your thoughts and prayers.”

They’ve already exceeded their initial goal of $20,000.
