A locally owned burger joint is expanding to Lakewood’s Hillside Village in late 2019.
Haystack Burgers & Barley will open three new locations in Dallas and Frisco. Besides the Hillside Village shopping center at 6465 E. Mockingbird Lane, the eatery will expand to Hillcrest Village at 6959 Arapaho Road and 6705 Main St. in Frisco.Â
The fast-casual restaurant started with a location in Richardson in 2013 and expanded to Turtle Creek Village in 2016, Eater reported.
It serves burgers, salads and sandwiches, along with milkshakes, craft beers and signature frozen cocktails. Menu items include burgers topped with house-made chili and jalapeno-bacon cream gravy.
“Hillside Village in the Lakewood area is an underserved restaurant market, and the location at Mockingbird and Abrams will most assuredly become a neighborhood favorite,” restaurant spokesman Greg Pierce said in a statement.
