Club Pilates is expanding to Lakewood Shopping Center.
The studio hopes to open at 6402 Gaston Ave., at the corner of Gaston Avenue and Abrams Parkway, by the end of April.
But a staff member at Club Pilates says it depends on how long the construction lasts.
Right now, crews are working on the corner suite of the shopping center. We reported earlier this month that Sweetgreen, a fast-casual salad chain, was the new tenant of 6400 Gaston Ave., where Kozy Kitchen, Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen and Dixie House used to be.
The Club Pilates staff member says a wall is being built to divide the space, so it looks like Sweetgreen and Club Pilates will be neighbors.
According to a building permit application, the Club Pilates remodel covers just under 2,000 square feet.
Lakewood Shopping Center already houses two national fitness studios — Hotworx and Orangetheory — plus Freeze Cryotherapy, owned by Lakewood neighbors.
