For the second time in less than a year, vandals targeted the State of Texas Historical Marker at the Aldredge House on Swiss Avenue.
The marker was stolen between 2-4 a.m. June 6, just days before the Dallas City Council was set to review a contentious specific-use permit for the historic home, according to a police report. Authorities are looking for three males between the ages of 15-25.
The theft comes months after the marker was damaged in August 2020. Then, the vandals broke the sign from its post and left it on the ground.
