An 11-year-old Dallas artist is getting a little help from Nike on her mission to inspire kids’ creativity and help them fly high in one-of-a-kind sneaks.
Dear Giana is one of three people partnering with Nike to promote its Air Max Accelerator program designed to turn sneaker dreams into reality. Through the program, Giana created a digital activity zone filled with DIY projects that kids can make to relax and have fun. The tutorials show how to use Nike products to create fringe shorts, custom sneakers, throw pillows, a jeweled headband and a marker box.
“My approach to fashion is that there are no rules,” she said in a video series with Nike. “I don’t care what’s trending. I wear what I feel confident in.”
Followers can access the interactive experience via a QR code on a mural at The Shops at Park Lane. The mural is located on the lower level next DSW, across from Bowl & Barrel. It will be available until Aug. 10.
