Good news for everyone who travels south on Skillman between Lovers and Mockingbird, just past the rail overpass. Some utility work has torn up the street, forcing the the Dallas police to abandon what is apparently a lucrative and well-known speed trap.
How do I know this? Not only I have been stopped there, but I was talking to someone who doesn’t live in East Dallas but drives Skillman to work, and they mentioned it. It’s a difficult one not to get caught in. You’re driving downhill at the same time that the speed limit changes.
