Zymology co-owner Benjamin Verdooren announced on the social networking site Facebook that the restaurant and pub had closed on Monday. His status update stated: "I want to thank everyone that supported my restaurant. But sadly I have had to close my restaurant. I closed this past Monday, Zymology is no more. Again than you for those who supported me."
It’s rough out there, kid. Zymology had been open since about January, and got favorable reviews from the Observer and the DMN. Verdooren didn’t indicate why the restaurant closed. I sent him a message, but haven’t heard back so far.
