A new business called Zounds recently appeared on Garland Road across the road from the Dallas Arboretum, right next door to Curiosities’ second location.
The sign on the building at 8922 Garland reads “Zounds presents East Dallas music collective,” but the Facebook page for that same address is for “Zounds Sounds School of Music.”
The “about” section on Zounds’ Facebook page says Zounds is “a collaborative of performers, composers, educators and producers who come together to bring a rhythm and harmony to our community.”
It seems Zounds already had a following before they moved to East Dallas. In April Zounds announced via Facebook their plans to move to a new location on Garland Road, and in October they announced the new space is ready.
We’ve left a couple voicemails that haven’t been returned, but we’ll let you know when we learn more.
