At least one East Dallas neighbor is south of the equator for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Soccer writer Steve Davis is in South Africa covering the tournament for the fifth time.
A former Dallas Morning News sports writer, Davis now covers soccer and other sports for national outlets including ESPN. Davis also writes every day on his blog, the Daily Soccer Fix.
He’s a graduate of Skyline High School and the University of Texas at Austin, and he’s played soccer in Dallas men’s leagues for most of his adult life.
