Woodrow Wilson High School presents an open house for prospective students this Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Students and families will be introduced to college preparatory academies, extracurricular activities and athletics. Academies include the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, Business and Industry, Arts and Humanities and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

The Bathhouse Cultural Center features the Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Glengarry Glen Ross” by David Mamet. The play, which focuses on several men in the high stakes race for the American Dream, opens on Friday at 8 p.m. and continues Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Enjoy Fiesta de Cuentos at the White Rock Hills Branch Library on Friday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Kids ages 6 and under will enjoy stories, sounds and rhymes in Spanish.

The New Year Ballroom Social will be at the Rhythm Room Sunday night at 7 p.m. There will be a 15-minute lesson, refreshments and music for $5. No partner required.

Dallas’ Martin Luther King Jr. parade is not in the neighborhood exactly, but it’s close enough. The march begins Monday at 10 a.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.
