Brown is the first and only Dallas ISD graduate to go to the Hall of Fame. Although he was recognized for his records and accomplishments during his 17-year career with the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, he said in an interview with the Dallas Morning News that he was also representing Dallas ISD when he received his lifetime honor.

Read his story by the Dallas Morning News and watch his induction video. You can also read about his life in his book, “The Making of a Man: How Men and Boys Honor God and Live with Integrity,” which details Brown’s career as well as his thoughts about faith and family.
