Neighbor David Hines is hosting a ribbon cutting for the franchise Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Arboretum Village this week.
Hines announced he was opening a location back in November, and he just recently hosted a grand opening at Gaston-Garland-Grand.
Hines came out of retirement to open Hand & Stone after spending more than 25 years working for Sprint in Dallas. He retired from Sprint last year, but then he got bored and became interested in health and wellness. He says he’s particularly interested focusing on the sports community in Lakewood-White Rock Lake.
“It’s attractive because it’s within the healthy lifestyles services,” Hines told us in November. “Hand & Stone is a very positive company. They have a really positive, healthy attitude.”
The ribbon cutting event will be this Thursday, Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. at Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, which is located at 7331 Gaston. The event is open to the public and will include food, beverages, membership specials and door prizes.
