Yesterday a few of us went to tea time with a couple of our friends over at the Dallas Arboretum. When we arrived it was quite crowded for 2 p.m. on a Thursday and then we realized, much to my delight, that the annual Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum Mad Hatter’s Garden Party was just wrapping up. Now they say this year there was no elaborate-hat contest as there has been in year’s past. So (they say) the hat’s were less whimsical than usual. Nonetheless, we were lucky enough to see some the curious and curiouser headpieces before they left the wonderland that is the beautifully blooming Arboretum.
