Dallas ISD Board President Dan Micciche, one of our East Dallas representatives, walked away from last night’s Dallas Mavericks game with a year’s worth of free Whataburger after a successful French fry toss during halftime.
Micciche ousted Trustee Lew Blackburn in the first round for his shot at the grand prize, and landed the “fry” on his first attempt.
“Im a natural athlete, what can I tell you?” he jokes. He is, in fact, a jogger and cyclist who regularly uses the White Rock Lake trails.
Six board members attended the game during Dallas ISD Friends and Family night and Blackburn posted a photo of them on his Facebook page (East Dallas Trustee Dustin Marshall, who also attended, isn’t pictured). Micciche says the trustees enjoyed the social time away from the boardroom and assured us that they didn’t talk shop, which would be illegal with that kind of quorum.
