We might finally get late-night ramen on Lowest Greenville.
Wabi House, the modern Japanese restaurant that opened at 1802 Greenville in June, is applying for a special use permit in order to stay open past midnight, according to these documents.
The ramen restaurant, which is home to craft cocktails, small plates and ramen, has been a longtime dream for chef Dien Nguyen. Nguyen’s vision is to serve ramen until 4 a.m., but right now the restaurant isn’t able to be open passed midnight because of issues with the special use permit on Lowest Greenville, Wabi House spokeswoman Teresa Nguyen told us back in June.
“This is disappointing for Chef Dien and the Wabi team,” Nguyen said at the time, “but they are taking the necessary steps needed and have declared a ‘ramen hour’ in the meantime to make up for that inconvenience.”
