Though the facilities were planned to open late this year, the timeline has been pushed back.

A spokesperson for the nonprofit says A Voice for All Paws is still waiting for permits from the City of Dallas, and renovations are ongoing.

The nonprofit shared on its Facebook page that the new spaces are expected to open in 2023.

When it opens, the cat rescue organization will have a cat café, adoption center and luxury boarding space near Garland Road and Easton Road.

Two buildings — 3,500 square feet and 1,600 square feet — will house the facilities. The nonprofit, led by Caroline Stovall, chose the location because it offers relatively easy access to intake abandoned cats and kittens, as well as to offer them for adoption.

Volunteers and staff of the nonprofit will run the coffee shop, which will raise funds for the organization.

Before cats are adopted, A Voice for All Paws arranges for any needed medical treatments and gets them socialized around people and other animals.
