POPgardenPromise of Peace Community Garden, in partnership with Hotel Palomar, is building a new garden this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at C. C. Young Retirement Center as a part of P.O.P’s effort to “plant it forward.” The garden will be located in the back of the Thomas Building between buildings 400 and 600. They will plant a small butterfly garden to inspire, and four container boxes of fresh herbs for snipping. Plus, Palomar is donating a bench so visitors can sit a while. If you’re interested in getting involved, visit the Promise of Peace website, or call Elizabeth Dry at 214.240.9220.
