The Fast Lane, an Eagles tribute band, performs at the Dallas Arboretum from 7:30-9:30 tonight, May 31.

The Lone Star Ukulele Festival will take place at the Bath House Cultural Center starting at 7 p.m. Friday, June 1 and 8 a.m. Saturday, June 2. The event will include featured performances from Pops Bayless, Jim D’Ville and Debbie Porter, with special guests The Wahooligans and Uke Fizz. The event will also include concerts, workshops, ukulele vendors, an open mic and a singer/songwriter contest. Workshops will be available for beginner to advanced players. Admission is $99.

Viva Dallas Burlesque’s ‘Dirty, Sexy, Funny’ will take place at the Lakewood Theater at 9 p.m. Friday, June 1. Comedian Paula Poundstone performs at the Lakewood Theater at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 2. Poundstone, who is the National Spokesperson for The Friends of the Libraries, will donate a portion of her book sales the night of the show to Dallas libraries. Buy Tickets

Medallion Center, at Abrams and Northwest Highway, celebrates its 50th anniversary with a sidewalk sale from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 2. As part of the celebration, Shakespeare Dallas will present scenes from Shakespeare in the Park’s Twelfth Night. These free, 20-minute performances will take place at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. near the Centennial. The event also includes a children’s train, balloons, popcorn and face painting.

Peace, Hope and Butterflies is a fundraising event from the Miracle Players Foundation,which supports juvenile cancer patients through the arts and musical theater. The event, from 3-6 p.m. Saturday at Flag Pole Hill, features a bounce house, rock climbing, face painting, petting zoo, teats, performances and more.

Artist Jeff Gibbons opens “Boylet Toilet” at Oliver Francis Gallery Saturday from 6-9 p.m. The installation, which will demand “attitudes of reverence and absurdity, bequeathing sentiments not usually obtained by the static and paltry objects of contemporary simulacra,” runs through June 16.
