Tonight, Dec. 16, the Angelika is screening “Die Hard” as part of its “Not Quite Christmas” movie series. Tickets are $6, and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Next Tuesday, Dec. 21, they’re showing “Home Alone”, and on Thursday, Dec. 23, “It’s a Wonderful Life”.
Whole Foods in Lakewood has a free holiday carnival from 6-8 p.m. Saturday. There will be live reindeer on the patio.
“Sing We Now of Christmas” is a free concert at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at East Dallas Christian Church. There will be a reception afterward with hot cider and gingerbread cookies.
“The Drowsy Chaperone” plays at Theatre Three through Jan. 8, and it stars White Rock-area actor and morning TV host Rob McCollom. Tickets are $35-$40.
The Lakewood Theater has two Christmas shows this weekend. The Local Honey 5th annual Holiday Mix is at 8 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $20. “A Merry Little Christmas Show” with Ricki Derek and his Orchestra is Saturday. Tickets for a 3 p.m. matinee are $20, and tickets for the 9 p.m. show are $28.
Indiana-based roots music trio Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band performs at the Granada Theater Sunday, and it’s an ugly sweater party, and they’ll have a marshmallow and weenie roast on the patio. Tickets are $12-$18.
