The Creative Arts Center of Dallas (CAC) is hosting its second exhibit featuring self-taught artists from The Bridge, Dallas’ largest homeless service center. “From the Street” opened on June 26 and runs through August 17. The Trash Bash Music Stash is this weekend. On July 19, neighbor Brandon Giannasi is hosting the Trash Bash Music Stash, a litter walk that focuses on picking up trash near Greenville Avenue. Volunteers will be bused in via this super hippie party bus at 10 a.m., and they will be given coffee (thanks to Coffee Co.), water, gloves, bags and trash grabbers. Then from noon to 6 p.m., every volunteer is invited to enjoy live music and receive a $15 gift card for food and drinks at Truck Yard. Local performers include Gringo Soul, Tiger Darrow, Mo Strangs, and Poppy Xander. But here’s the thing: There are only 75 volunteer slots available. Check out the Facebook page for more.

Through Sept. 27, the White Rock Lake Museum in the Bath House Cultural Center presents Refreshing Journey, an exhibition of drawings inspired by White Rock Lake from Dallas artist Jenny Hong DeLaughter.
