Due to high rent and a slow summer, the small business had to part ways with their bar. The landlord sold the location to another buyer, despite the owners’ efforts to purchase the property back themselves, the owners told the Observer.

“It’s the hardest decision we’ve ever made to walk away from this. We are completely heartbroken but, sadly it was not meant to be. There’s not enough space on here to go into all the great memories,” the company posted on Facebook.

The bar was owned and operated by brother and sister duo Eric Sanchez and Rocio Ildemaro, opened in August of 2011, and was top 10 bars to visit for draft beer in Dallas. Various East Dallas residents on Facebook said it was one of their favorite places to visit for a casual beer and memorable experiences.

At the moment there is no set date for when the bar will officially close, regardless, the neighborhood will miss the good drinks, eats, and memories this space provided for them.
