Remember Stonewall Jackson Elementary’s Shake, Rattle & Roll fundraiser last year? This year’s theme is “Urban Cowboy”, and tickets for the April 16 fundraiser cost $50 a piece, but the PTA is offering a $10 discount to anyone who purchases tickets before March 11.
The party at Eddie Deen’s Ranch from 7 p.m.-midnight features dinner, desserts by Nothing Bundt Cakes, silent and live auctions, a mechanical bull and a live performance by Southbound Lane, led by Stonewall dad Dave Smith. All proceeds benefit the elementary school; the event is the PTA’s effort to recoup some of the funds lost in Dallas ISD district-wide budget cuts.
Also on sale through March 11 are the VIP tables for 10, which include unlimited beer and wine plus a touch screen to use during the duration of the silent auction. The normally $1,000 tables are currently $900. To purchase individual tickets or tables, contact urbancowboy2011@yahoo.com.
