Station 17 is known as, the Lakewood Fire Station, and the firefighters take an active role in the neighborhood. In addition to inviting neighbors to drop by and say hello, the firefighters participate in the annual Lakewood Fourth of July Parade, and earlier this month, they attended the Swiss Avenue Historic District Mother’s Day Home Tour.

Complimentary light bites and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. All attendees will have the opportunity to meet the firefighters and EMT at the fire station and photo opportunities inside the fire truck.

For those who cannot attend the open house, the department will also host a similar event for Station 8, which also serves the Swiss Avenue Historic District. The event date is to be determined.
