The Village Salons Lakewood has signed on with Lincoln Property Co. to open in March in The Arboretum Village shopping center at Gaston-Garland-Grand.
Owned by sisters Jill Long and Jolie Buie, The Village Salons will occupy the 7900-square-feet space right behind where the Starbucks will be. The space will be broken up into a variety of suite configurations, where salon professionals can lease out single, double or triple-occupancy suites.
“We want it to have a sense of community,” Buie explains. “The space itself is pretty unique. It’s kind of an hour-glass shape, so the architect helped us a lot with the angles and different ways to use the space. There won’t be anything cookie-cutter about it.”
When you visit in the spring, you’ll be greeted by hand-crafted iron and glass doors, a yard-wide art glass chandelier and leather seating — all of which you can get a sneak peek on the website.
For anyone interested, pre-leasing options are available now for salon professionals. Those who sign on can design their suite with their choice of location, paint color, salon furniture package and set up. There’s 24/7 secured access after-hours, on-site laundry, high-speed internet and easy parking.
“We’re providing the space for the salon owners,” Buie says. “So we just want to make sure we run the facility well, so they don’t have anything to worry about.”
