A man is in custody after police say he shot and killed a person during a drug deal Tuesday near Ferguson Road in Far East Dallas.
Officers responded at 1 p.m. outside the Harry Stone Recreation Center at 2403 Millmar Drive, police said.
When authorities arrived, they found the victim lying halfway out the rear driver’s side door of a parked vehicle. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man, 23-year-old Alan Garrido-Hernandez, was wounded during the shooting. He was taken to an area hospital to be treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Garrido-Hernandez later admitted to the shooting that occurred inside the vehicle.
He was charged with murder and taken to the Dallas County jail. No bond has been set.
