Some neighborhood schools will release students early Friday with severe weather expected to move through Dallas.

Bishop Lynch High School announced on Facebook it is moving to a half-day schedule and will dismiss students at noon. All after-school activities will be canceled.

“We have made this decision out of an abundance of caution, especially in relation to our bus transportation system and teenage drivers,” school officials said. 

Additionally, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School announced via a text alert to parents that school is dismissed at 12:45 p.m. for elementary students and 1 p.m. for middle school students, ABC affiliate WFAA reported.

The following schools have announced early dismissals:
