Sarah Weinberg defeated opponent Jimmy Tran in the June 10 runoff election for the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees District 2 seat.
Out of 7,989 total votes counted in the runoff, 4,251, or 53.21%, were for Weinberg. Tran received 46.79% of the vote, or 3,738.
Results from early voting showed Weinberg with 57.13% of votes and Tran with 42.87%. In total, 4,203 ballots were cast in early voting.
Weinberg will hold the District 2 seat, which includes the Woodrow Wilson High School feeder pattern, until her three-year term ends in 2026.
