You’ve probably heard all about Ross Perot’s famous charts and flip cards from his 1992 presidential campaign; the cards set the race on its ear because Perot presented complex federal government budgetary information in a pretty easy-to-understand format. The charts at one point made Perot a frontrunner in the race, and I can still remember watching him explain our nation’s problems on his television infomercials. Well, Perot is back with more charts and graphics, but this time he’s using the internet (www.perotcharts.com), and neighborhood resident Mike Poss is unveiled as the brains behind the presentation in a story on the front page of the DMN’s Sunday business section.

Mike is an attorney and CPA who has worked with Perot for many years, along with publishing a couple of books and starting a number of businesses, too. You probably recognize the Poss name because Mike’s wife, Mary, is one of the neighborhood’s best-known political figures from her days as head of the Dallas Crime Commission and her years of service as Lakewood’s city council rep, which was topped off by a stint as the city’s mayor pro tem and, finally, acting mayor. Mary’s currently a Realtor with Ebby Halliday.
