Some of our favorite neighborhood haunts are celebrating Halloween with some howling happy hours and hoedowns:
- The Blue Goose Cantina will celebrate Halloween by featuring $3 drink and food specials on Oct. 31. The witching hour begins at 2:30 p.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. The showcased items are queso, house margaritas, all beer and well drinks.
- The Dallas Aw/Big Shucks locations will celebrate Halloween with a spirited Blood Orange Margarita for $5.25 on Oct. 31 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Then, throw on your best gingham and overalls and head to Sissy’s Southern Kitchen & Bar for a Halloween Hoedown on Oct. 31. The bar will serve $8 drink specials. A special prize will be given to the best hillbilly outfit. The hoedown kicks off at 5 p.m., and Southern Renaissance, a local rock and roll band, will take the stage at 7 p.m. Doors close at midnight. A portion of the night’s sales will go to benefit Family Gateway, the leading Dallas community to end child homelessness.
