I have rather enjoyed Domino’s recent ad campaign and the way that they recognize how very bad their pizza has tasted for the last decade or so.

Realizing that a pizza joint can no longer live on the convenience and familiarity factor alone, Domino’s revamped their recipe and launched the “Oh Yes We Did” pizza turnaround campaign. So, kudos, Domino’s. My parents brought Dominos pizzas to the last Cowboys game — it was a high point, rivaling my 7-layer dip and just trailing the beer in popularity.

But, Domino’s, we have a small problem … Keith Whitmire, our sports blogger, pointed out to me this week that if you live in the White Rock Hills neighborhood, you cannot get Domino’s delivered. In order to get a slice of Domino’s not-bad new pie, White Rock Hills residents must leave their cozy neighborhood and drive to the Five Points neighborhood, which we all know is #1 (that is, when it comes to violent crime in Dallas). So, now we lose the convenience factor, making Domino’s seem sort-a mediocre again. (There was a Domino’s at Walnut Hill-Audelia, but they booked about a year ago).

In Domino’s defense, in my neighborhood of Lake Highlands (75243) and at my office (75214) and my parent’s house (75218) Domino’s delivers, so they haven’t up and moved to Suburbia or anything.
