Urban Vines Wine Bistro, the freshly open restaurant that quickly swooped on the old Cafe Lago location on 9219 Garland, is offering some delectable specials this week. For a healthier meal, get your green on with a salad of mixed greens with pears, strawberries, pecans, and honey raspberry vinaigrette, topped with sliced chicken breast. Or just pop in for some cheap vino on a Thursday, when wine glasses are half-price. Urban Vines is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.- 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Once that is complete (6 weeks) we are going to restore the original club inside back to its Prohibition day decor. Also, we are renovating the middle dining room and the Joe’s dining room and adding booths and juke boxes.” The restaurant is open for business. “We never close,” Campisi says. “My grandfather always told us, ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’”
