New Zealand chef Toby Archibald is bringing Quarter Acre to our neighborhood to serve Michelin-level food and service, Eater Dallas reports. The restaurant is expected to open this fall and will feature a menu with seafood and wines from Australia and New Zealand; select dishes include smoked beef tartare, confit lamb belly sticks, banana leaf grilled cod, Kingfish and coconut ceviche, and hay roasted chicken, according to Eater Dallas.

Throughout his career, Archibald has worked at a couple Michelin-starred restaurants. He was senior sous chef at The Greenhouse in London and Café Boulud in New York, according to his website. Since moving to Dallas in 2016, Archibald has been chef de cuisine of Bullion and executive chef of Georgie by Curtis Stone.

Rapscallion, a Southern restaurant, closed in May after seven years in business, at 2023 Greenville Ave. between Trader Joe’s and Manpuku.

In other food news, Starbucks is now open on Greenville on the old Taco Cabana property, and River Pig Saloon is expanding to Texas with a location at the Flatbread Co. space.
