Hundley is working on this service project to help him complete the Eagle rank in Boy Scouts.

About 30 Geneva Heights families take home a backpack full of food each Friday. The peace pantry, which partners with the Woodrow Community Peace Pantry, makes food and uniforms free to students in need, with no application required. Now, since the elementary school campus is undergoing renovations, the peace pantry has been temporarily moved to Interfaith Family Services.

The new pantry has a need for shelving and cataloging and organization of items.

Hundley is also working to collect 2,023 pounds of shelf-stable food, to commemorate his graduation year. He says he expects to be able to purchase 10 pounds of canned goods, dried rice and beans, peanut butter and other foods for every $15 raised.

If you’d like to support Hundley, he set up a Go Fund Me page here.
