A Monday news release from the Dallas Police Department said that an ongoing investigation of an “unexplained death” in December is now being ruled as “homicidal violence,” according to the County medical examiner.
On Dec. 5, 2023, Dallas Police responded to a welfare check in the 8000 block of Hunnicut Road. Where they found Rory Thacker, 46, dead at the location, according to police.
Two months later, on Feb. 16, medical examiner’s ruled that Thacker “died from homicidal violence,” adding that the case was being assigned to the homicide unit.
