Neighbors fought back with fake packages filled with dog poop and volunteer patrols, but after a final theft on Thursday, authorities apprehended Kelli Russell, 33.

According to Dallas Police, at 12:40 p.m. Thursday officers stopped Russell in the 4900 block of Lancaster Road in southern Dallas for failing to signal and driving without a license plate. She was arrested because she matched the description of the package thief, and police obtained a search warrant for her home.

Police found many stolen packages, several of which have not been reported to the police. Detectives are in the process of tracking down victims and determining the value of the stolen items. Russell will be charged with aggregate theft when the total value is determined.
