Each year, the normally quiet Hollywood Santa Monica street of Newell transforms into a raucous block party, complete with DJs, bounce houses, drinking in the streets and youths whipping cascarones (confetti eggs) at vehicles moving slowly down the street.

Neighbors filled the streets, enjoyed pulled pork sandwiches and imbibed beverages while dogs barked at drones overhead and children bounced and searched for candy-filled eggs. Check out some of the festivities below and make your calendars for next year’s parade.
